This video will introduce you to the formulation of truss element finite element equations in local coordinate systems. It will also introduce you to different concepts, such as Strain matrix, Element stiffness matrix, Element mass matrix and weak for of FE equations. The equations derived are valid for any problem whether 1D, 2D or 3D but later I have shown their application for Truss Elements.
